The karma positions in your Soul Contract chart reveal the patterns you inherited at birth, the challenges you keep encountering, and the specific growth curriculum your soul chose for this lifetime. There are two karma positions: Physical Karma governing your material world, and Spiritual Karma governing your inner world.

What Karma Means in This System

In Soul Contract Reading, karma isn't punishment for past lives. It's a set of vibrational patterns your soul brought into this incarnation to work with. These patterns create friction, and that friction is purposeful: it's designed to forge specific talents and drive you toward specific goals.

Physical Karma

Physical karma is strongest from birth through your mid-30s. During this period, it often feels like "this is just how life is" because you don't have a reference point for anything different. Spiritual Karma

Your Spiritual Karma (Position 1) governs the soul-level wound you're carrying. It manifests as emotional patterns, your relationship to yourself, your inner critic's voice, spiritual blocks, and belief systems about worthiness, belonging, and safety.

Spiritual karma is more subtle than physical karma. It's often felt as a nameless inner restlessness, a sense that something is fundamentally "off" that you can't quite articulate. It drives the "dark night of the soul" experiences that many people encounter in their 20s and 30s.

Common spiritual karma patterns include: Zayin (7) creating deep shame and compulsive mask-wearing, Mem (13) creating maternal wounds and protective emotional armor, Tet (9) creating fear of your own spiritual power, and Kaf (11) creating dependence on others' frameworks instead of trusting your own authority.

How Karma Feeds Talent

The most important thing to understand about your karma positions is their relationship to your talent positions. The karma creates exactly the friction needed to forge the talent. They are not separate, they are cause and effect.
